A monastic meal can be a great way to sample simple, local ingredients and dishes.

Selectively concentrated recipes from the old to the modern monastic tradition, offer ideas and solutions that are easy, tasty, nutritious and low in calories, taking advantage of the rich Greek nature by using fresh ingredients.

Learn how to create healthy dishes with fresh ingredients, organic vegetables, herbs and Cretan olive oil . All dishes are made with the finest and freshest seasonal ingredients.

At the end of the experience enjoy your creations with a glass of authentic Cretan wine!

Session Length

This experience is 4 hours in duration.

You will start at 09:30am with a tour in the winery and  a chat about the cooking day, the menu, and the techniques.

Then cook until approximately 11:30am to 12:00pm and dine until around 13:30pm.

Participation

Classes are between 6-12 participants.

*Minimum number of participation 6 people.

Groups (Minimum 12 participants – Maximum 50 participants): Upon Request

Notes: Minimum number of participants 6 people. We can accept different bookings until the minimum number of participants is reached. We can cancel bookings in case the minimum number of participants is not reached.

If an event is cancelled then all participants will be notified within 24 hours of the commencement date for the event and have the option to reschedule to another event or receive a full refund.

Kids (Ages 12-16): 45€ per person

Kids (Under the age of 12 you can request a meal with an additional cost of 15€)

*For health and safety reasons, participants under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

  • Dolmadakia (rice with herbs in vino leaves)
  • Tsigariasta horta (wild greens cooked in olive oil)
  • Octapus in wine sauce
  • Mushroom balls
  • Halva with honey (Semolina)
